Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about this place? The moment I walked into Charmant T2 Place de Lerme, it actually felt like stepping into someone’s well-curated Bordeaux apartment rather than your typical tourist rental. I mean, the name gives it away – it really is charming in that effortless French way that you can’t fake. The location on Place de Lerme puts you right in the thick of Bordeaux’s city center, and honestly, I kept forgetting I was staying in a rental because the whole square has this lived-in neighborhood feel. You’re basically a five-minute walk from the Grand Théâtre, but more importantly (at least for me), you’re surrounded by those little wine bars that locals actually frequent – not the touristy spots plastered all over Instagram.
The apartment itself surprised me with how thoughtfully it’s set up. The T2 layout works perfectly for a couple or even solo travelers who want space to spread out, and there’s this lovely natural light that streams in during the morning hours. I loved that they didn’t go overboard with the “French countryside” theme like so many places do – instead, it feels contemporary but warm, with just enough character to remind you you’re in Bordeaux. The kitchen is actually functional (I made coffee every morning and picked up pastries from the boulangerie around the corner), and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. One small thing – the shower pressure is decent, though not amazing, but honestly that’s pretty standard for these older Bordeaux buildings. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night despite being so central. Place de Lerme doesn’t get the late-night foot traffic that some of the busier squares do, but you’re still close enough to everything that matters.
Here’s the thing about staying here – you’ll find yourself taking different routes to explore the city because you’re positioned perfectly between the riverfront and the main shopping areas. I’d walk down toward the Garonne some mornings, other days I’d head up toward Cours de l’Intendance for window shopping. The 8.5 rating makes total sense to me because it delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. It’s not trying to be a luxury hotel experience, but it’s polished and comfortable in a way that lets you settle in and actually enjoy Bordeaux rather than just passing through. If you’re the type who likes having your own space to decompress after a day of wine tasting (and let’s be honest, that’s probably why you’re in Bordeaux), this spot hits that sweet spot between location, comfort, and feeling like you’re living like a local for a few days.

Reviews
Exceptional – Oleg from Portugal – 6 July 2025 (10/10)
It is a small charming apartment in a quiet place close to the city center. The apartment contained everything needed for the short or even long stay. A communication with the host was quick and simple.
What could be improved: There are some men at work on a road to the apartment and we were forced to park in 200 meters and walk on a day of arrival. On the departure day everything was OK and we were able to park near the apartment to load our baggage.Very good – Chloe from Ireland – 23 June 2025 (8/10)
Location was perfect, within walking distance of everything
What could be improved: Parking was a nightmare spent two hours trying to find a space for the rental car, only suitable for travelling without a car,.Exceptional – Viktoriia from France – 27 October 2024 (10/10)
Helpful and accommodating host, very nice apartment in a comfortable location
Nice apartment close to centre of city – Paul from United Kingdom – 23 September 2024 (8/10)
The location was very good. An easy 15 – 20 minutes walk to the city centre. There was an excellent supermarket 5 mins from the apartment. And a tram stop 5 mins walk also.
What could be improved: One small problem which was not the host's fault was a noisy family in the floor above. On a Friday night there was the sound of young kids running around and making noise well after midnight.Everything perfect – Arianna from Italy – 10 June 2024 (9/10)
The location is perfect if you like walking, you are in downtown in 15 minutes by walk.
This is to say that the location is perfect but not really central.Exceptional – Ioannis from United Kingdom – 10 November 2023 (10/10)
Very helpful host. Clean and quiet apartment. Very good location
Lovely apartment, really clean and very well equipped! – Elizabeth from Ireland – 9 July 2023 (10/10)
Lovely apartment, really clean and very well equipped. The host was very nice and helpful. The location was also good. The only issue is with lack of parking and pay parking but that's not the host's fault. Great if using public transport or cycling. Recommended!
Very satisfied – Elena from Germany – 21 June 2023 (8/10)
Very communicative owner, well organized.
Apartment has everything a family needs.
What could be improved: It was quite noisy at night, parking is quite expensive, but it is true for the whole Bordeaux areaFrench, central and very comfortable. Will book again – Ciara from Australia – 9 June 2023 (10/10)
central, clean and just a beautiful French apartment
What could be improved: no complaints from us, enjoyed our staySuperb – Terie from Canada – 17 May 2023 (9/10)
Spacious and bright. Loved the windows wrapping around the entire apartment.
What could be improved: My only complaint is the carpet in the bedroom. It was very stained and needs replacing. But otherwise the apartment was very clean and well equipped.
