Bordorent Apartment Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Bordorent Apartment on Rue Saint Rémi, you immediately get that “I’m in the real Bordeaux” feeling. This three-star property sits right in the city center — and I mean actually in the heart of things, not some marketing spin. The building has that classic French charm you’d expect, though it’s clearly been updated for modern travelers who want comfort without the stuffiness of a traditional hotel.
Location That Actually Matters
Honestly, the location here is pretty much perfect if you want to experience Bordeaux like a local. You’re literally steps from Place du Parlement and the old stone streets that make this city so special. I found myself walking to the Grand Théâtre in about five minutes, and the tram stops are close enough that you don’t even think twice about hopping on. What I really appreciated was being able to grab fresh pastries from the boulangerie down the street every morning — you know, the kind of routine that makes you feel like you actually live here for a few days.
The Apartment Experience
The apartment itself strikes that sweet spot between having your own space and getting proper hotel-level cleanliness. You get a real kitchen (not just a mini-fridge situation), which honestly saved me quite a bit of money since Bordeaux’s markets are incredible and I could actually cook with local ingredients. The room layout feels thoughtful — whoever designed this understood that travelers need space to spread out a bit, especially if you’re staying more than a night or two. The furnishings aren’t trying too hard to be trendy, but everything works well and feels comfortable.
Practical Details
What surprised me was how quiet it stays despite being so central. The windows do a good job keeping out the street noise, though you’ll still hear the occasional late-night conversation from people walking home from dinner — which I actually found charming rather than annoying. The Wi-Fi works properly (always a concern in older buildings), and there’s decent water pressure in the shower. Parking can be a bit tricky in this area, but that’s true for most of central Bordeaux — honestly, you’re better off using the tram system anyway.
Why Guests Love It
I can see why couples rate this place so highly — there’s something romantic about having your own little Bordeaux pied-à-terre, even if it’s just for a few nights. You’re not stuck eating every meal in a hotel restaurant; instead, you can pick up wine from the shop around the corner and cheese from the market, then enjoy them on your own schedule. The 8.4 rating makes sense when you consider that you’re getting authentic Bordeaux living rather than generic hotel experiences. It’s the kind of place where you actually feel like you’re staying in the city, not just visiting it.

Reviews of Bordorent Apartment
Neil from United Kingdom (9/10)
Location was fantastic, a stones throw away from great restaurants, bars and historic sights, no noise of an evening and a great base to explore this beautiful city. The city has a relaxed vibe and everyone is very welcoming, although you will need a little French to get you through the day. I used a great translation App for menus which was a big help

The apartment was attractive and comfortable
Mark from Australia (7/10)
Location was fantastic. Appreciate that there was a lift, very small and clunky as it was, as we were on the third floor and had heavy suitcases. The apartment was spacious and well equipped. We particularly appreciated the fully equipped kitchen which even had a full size oven and a dishwasher. Also. a vacuum cleaner was provided and washing machine with loads of capsules so that we could do many washes during our two week stay. We found the apartment very comfortable. Fly screens in the bedroom and the one window in the lounge were a thoughtful touch and was well appreciated. Loved the lighting in the lounge that was all controlled remotely, excellently done. Nice big flat screen TV. The owner was very helpful whenever we had a problem with the apartment.
