Hotel Description

Okay, so I’ll be honest – when I first saw the address on Cours de Verdun, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The Chartrons district has this interesting mix of trendy wine bars and residential streets, and this T3 apartment sits right in that sweet spot where you feel like you’re living in Bordeaux rather than just visiting it. The building itself has that classic Bordeaux limestone facade you see everywhere in the city, but what really got me was how quiet it stays despite being on a fairly busy street – the windows are actually decent quality, which isn’t always a given in these converted apartments.

The space inside feels genuinely prestigious without being stuffy, you know? Three rooms that flow together nicely, and whoever designed the layout actually thought about how people move through a space. The kitchen is properly equipped – I mean, not just a hot plate and mini fridge situation – which matters if you’re staying more than a couple nights or if you hit the Saturday market at Marché des Chartrons (about a ten-minute walk) and want to cook something decent. What I really appreciated was the attention to details that most places skip: good lighting in the bathroom, enough outlets near the bed, windows that actually open properly for those warm Bordeaux evenings when you don’t want to run the AC all night.

The location is honestly what makes this place special though. You’re maybe a five-minute stroll to the Jardin Public, which sounds touristy but is actually where locals go to run in the mornings or let their kids play – it’s got this lovely old-school French park vibe with proper shade trees and benches where people actually sit and read. More importantly, you can walk to the tram in about three minutes, and the 11 line gets you to the city center or out to the wine regions without dealing with Bordeaux’s somewhat chaotic parking situation. The neighborhood has a few solid restaurants too – there’s this wine bar called Le Flacon that does small plates, and honestly, the Sunday market at Place des Chartrons is better than the more famous ones downtown because it’s less crowded and the vendors actually talk to you. The whole area feels lived-in rather than tourist-focused, which I think is what pushes this place up to that 8.9 rating. It’s the kind of spot where you might find yourself staying an extra day just because you’re comfortable and the morning coffee routine you’ve developed feels too good to break.

The concierge service in Bordeaux can arrange exclusive wine tastings at prestigious châteaux, secure reservations at Michelin-starred restaurants, and organize personalized tours of the UNESCO World Heritage historic district.

  • Julia from United Kingdom (8/10)

Good location opposite the Jardin Public. Apartment on 2nd floor and right beside the tram lines so expect noises upto midnight, the noise don’t really bother us 😀.

Kitchen just renovated, clean and new electric appliances with stove but no oven.

Comms with Lucie the manager was good, friendly WhatsApp messages, check-in up to 8:30pm without any extra charges. I let Lucie knows of Unfair cleaning fee, €49+vat= €53, there is no option to split bed linen from total fee which might misleads future customers.
