The spa downstairs is honestly a game-changer after you’ve spent the day wandering around those cobblestone streets in the old quarter. I mean, your feet will thank you.

What really sets this place apart though is the attention to detail that you just don’t get at bigger hotels. The staff actually remembers your name (and your wine preferences), and they’ll give you proper local recommendations – not just the tourist traps everyone hits. The rooms have this sophisticated French elegance without being stuffy about it, and the bathrooms… well, let’s just say they understand that good water pressure is a beautiful thing. You know what surprised me most? How quiet it stays at night, even though you’re on a fairly busy street. Those old walls are thick, I guess. The breakfast situation is solid too – they source a lot locally, and you can actually taste the difference in the pastries and preserves. During wine harvest season (September-October), the whole area gets this amazing energy, and being right in the heart of things means you’re not missing any of the action.
