Studio sur patio au coeur des Chartrons Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Studio sur patio au coeur des Chartrons feels like discovering a hidden gem tucked away in one of Bordeaux’s most charming neighborhoods. The moment you step through the entrance, you’re greeted by this lovely little patio that gives the place its name — honestly, it’s such a nice surprise in the middle of the city. The four-star property has this intimate, boutique feel that immediately sets it apart from the larger chain hotels you’ll find elsewhere in Bordeaux. There’s something genuinely welcoming about the space that makes you feel like you’ve found your own private corner of the Chartrons district.
Location & Neighborhood
You know what really struck me about this place? It’s right in the heart of Chartrons, which means you’re basically living like a local in one of Bordeaux’s coolest areas. Rue Borie puts you within easy walking distance of the antique shops, wine bars, and that fantastic Sunday morning market along the Garonne River. I mean, you can literally stroll to some of the city’s best wine merchants and still be back at your studio in minutes. The neighborhood has this perfect mix of residential charm and urban energy — couples especially seem to love it here, and I can totally see why.
The Studio Experience
The studio itself is thoughtfully designed with that patio being the real star of the show. It’s not huge, but it’s laid out so well that you never feel cramped — actually, the outdoor space makes it feel much larger than it is. The decor strikes this nice balance between modern comfort and French character, with touches that feel authentic rather than trying too hard. What I really appreciated was how everything you need is there without feeling cluttered, and the patio gives you this wonderful sense of having your own private outdoor retreat right in the city center.
Getting Around & Practicalities
Getting to Studio sur patio au coeur des Chartrons from the train station is pretty straightforward — the tram system in Bordeaux is excellent, and you’re well-connected to the rest of the city from this location. The Chartrons area itself is incredibly walkable, which honestly makes exploring so much more enjoyable than constantly figuring out transportation. You’re close enough to the historic center to walk there when you feel like it, but far enough away to escape the tourist crowds when you want some peace. Plus, having actual grocery stores and cafes nearby means you can really settle in and live a bit like a Bordeaux resident.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps people coming back to this place is that combination of location and character that’s surprisingly hard to find. The patio alone sets it apart — there’s something special about having morning coffee or evening wine in your own little outdoor space in the middle of the city. Recent guests consistently mention how well-positioned it is, and after spending time in the Chartrons, I completely understand the appeal. It’s the kind of place where you can have an authentic Bordeaux experience without sacrificing comfort, and honestly, that balance is what makes it work so well for couples looking for something a bit more special than your typical hotel room.

What could be improved: RAS. Nous n'avons pas pris les repas sur place car nous n'avions pas besoin mais la table est petite pour déjeuner ou diner.
