Studio BORDEAUX ST AUGUSTIN Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Studio BORDEAUX ST AUGUSTIN, you immediately get the sense this isn’t your typical hotel setup. It’s actually more like staying in a well-appointed studio apartment in one of Bordeaux‘s most charming neighborhoods. The building has that classic French residential feel — you know, the kind where you feel like a temporary local rather than just another tourist passing through. What really caught my attention was how quiet rue Joseph Lebrix is, despite being so close to everything that matters in the city.
The Saint Augustin Advantage
Here’s what I love about this location — Saint Augustin sits just perfectly between the historic center and the more residential parts of Bordeaux. You’re close enough to walk to Place Gambetta in about ten minutes, but far enough from the tourist crowds that you can actually breathe. The neighborhood has this authentic feel with local bakeries and small cafés that haven’t been overrun by guidebook recommendations. Plus, and this is huge for anyone driving, there’s actually parking available — which, honestly, is like finding gold in most French city centers.
The Studio Space
The room itself is what you’d expect from a well-designed studio — compact but thoughtfully laid out. Everything you need is there without feeling cramped, and the kitchenette is actually functional (I’ve stayed in places where it’s more decorative than useful). The furnishings feel contemporary without being sterile, and there’s enough storage space that you’re not living out of your suitcase the entire time. What struck me most was how much natural light floods in — it really makes the space feel larger than it actually is.
Why Couples Keep Coming Back
I mean, it’s pretty obvious why couples rate this place so highly for romantic getaways. There’s something intimate about having your own little Bordeaux pied-à-terre, complete with the ability to grab fresh ingredients from the local market and prepare a simple meal together. The three-star rating might seem modest, but honestly, this place delivers way beyond what you’d expect from that classification. You’re getting the independence of an apartment rental with the reliability and service standards of a proper hotel.
Why Guests Love It
The location score speaks for itself — when recent guests consistently rate it 9.0, you know they’ve discovered something special. It’s that sweet spot where you feel connected to real Bordeaux life while still being within easy reach of the wine bars, museums, and riverside walks that bring most people to the city. The free parking alone saves you both money and the headache of circling blocks looking for a spot. Plus, there’s something satisfying about having your own key to a little corner of this beautiful city, even if it’s just for a few nights.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Bordeaux through local agencies that offer personalized recommendations and insider knowledge about the best neighborhoods for exploring the city’s rich cultural heritage.

Reviews of Studio BORDEAUX ST AUGUSTIN
Glen from Canada (9/10)
The property was very clean and well appointed. It was in a quiet, safe neighbourhood and had a very nice private garden in the back.
The room contained ample amounts of soap, towels, blankets, etc. it also had many extra convenience items – umbrella, washing machine, shoe polisher, shoe horn, ample power outlets.
They were also very generous and allowed us a late checkout on our last day.John from United Kingdom (9/10)

We were very unsure of this apartment when we booked, but it exceeded our expectations. It was very tastefully decorated and equipped with everything we needed. The location, although it seems out of the way, was excellent, with easy access to the tram lines. There are a number of small shops locally for breakfast etc. Do not hesitate to book this place if it is available.
