What actually impressed me was how they’ve managed to balance that old-world Bordeaux charm without making you feel like you’re staying in a museum. The building has character – you can tell it’s been around – but the rooms feel fresh and, honestly, way more spacious than I expected for a city center location. But seriously, you’re a five-minute stroll to the Garonne riverfront, practically next door to some fantastic wine bars (try Bar à Vin du CIVB if you want to taste proper Bordeaux without the touristy markup), and walking distance to both the cathedral and the shopping district around Rue Sainte-Catherine. The hotel staff actually knows the neighborhood – I asked about a good spot for morning coffee and got directed to this tiny place around the corner that locals use, not some overpriced café trap. Check-in was smooth, no drama, and they’ve got that relaxed French hospitality thing down where they’re helpful without being overly chatty. For a three-star place with ratings pushing 9, it delivers exactly what it promises: a clean, comfortable base in an unbeatable part of Bordeaux without breaking the bank. Perfect if you’re planning to spend your days exploring the city rather than lounging around the hotel.

  Executive Queen Room was big enough for 3 adults and beds were very comfortable. Location was perfect, right in the pedestrian area where there were many shops and restaurants.

  Perfect hotel for a short visit. Perfect location in the city center, close to restaurants and tourist attractions. Staff (ladies at the reception were very helpful and nice), gym 1 min walk from the hotel. Breakfast was really tasty. Nothing to complain about.
