The location is absolutely perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in Bordeaux rather than just visiting – you’re literally a two-minute walk from Place des Quinconces, which means you can wander over to the Saturday market without even thinking about it.

What struck me most was how the apartment manages to feel both elegant and completely livable. The furnishings have that effortless French style where everything looks carefully chosen but not precious – I mean, you can actually put your feet up on the sofa without worrying. The kitchen is properly equipped too, not just for show, which matters when you’ve grabbed fresh produce from the Marché des Capucins and want to cook something decent. Speaking of the neighborhood, Cours de Tournon is one of those streets that feels genuinely local – you’ll hear more French than English on your morning coffee run, and the little boulangerie around the corner (honestly, their pain au chocolat is dangerous) becomes part of your routine incredibly quickly. The tram stop is right there when you need it, but most days you’ll find yourself walking everywhere because central Bordeaux is just so walkable from here.

The apartment easily handles four people without anyone feeling cramped – the bedrooms are actually sized for real humans, not hotel efficiency, and there’s proper storage space for longer stays. I was there during August when Bordeaux can get pretty warm, but the cross-ventilation works well, and those high ceilings help keep things comfortable. The building itself has character without being creaky or problematic – thick walls mean you’re not hearing every conversation from next door. One small thing that impressed me was the attention to details like good lighting and decent water pressure, stuff that sounds boring until you don’t have it. The 9.1 rating makes complete sense once you’ve been there; it’s the kind of place where everything just works the way it should, and you find yourself taking notes for your own home. If you’re planning to stay more than a couple nights in Bordeaux, this feels like the right choice – especially if you want to experience the city like someone who actually lives there rather than just checking off tourist boxes.

  The price was superb, however, I see that they are planning to raise the price significantly in the next year. They must stay competitive or they will lose many bookings like mine. My price limit in Bordeaux is 200 Euros a night, and I never have any trouble finding places in this range. My advice is keep the price low and you might be fully booked next year.

  The location was very good. The apartment was located in the centre of Bordeaux and close to various tram stops.
