Avenue Thiers can get a bit busy during rush hour (around 8 AM and 6 PM), but it’s never London-level chaos, and honestly, the street sounds become part of the charm. The owner clearly knows the area well – they left these handwritten notes about which bakery has the best pain au chocolat (it’s the one two blocks down toward Pont de Pierre, trust me) and when the Saturday market on Place de la Bourse is worth the trek across the bridge.

Here’s the thing about a 7.9 rating – it means it’s not trying to be the Ritz, but it absolutely nails what it is trying to be. The three-star classification feels right; everything works, it’s clean, comfortable, and the location gives you this insider’s view of Bordeaux that you’d never get staying near the cathedral with all the tour groups.   The apartment was clean, comfortable and just like the pictures. It was in a great location, a couple of minutes walk to a tram stop and 15 minutes walk into the centre. It's above a bar and there's some music noise until late in the evening, but not enough to disturb us too much and our baby slept through it. Well equipped, comfy beds and good amount of space.

  Lovely, new apartment, very comfortable, effective aircon, beautiful kitchen and shower room and appreciated the nice soap and dishwashing tablets provided. Bedding and towels included and plenty of hanging and drawer space. Good value for money. Can reach centre in around 20-25 mins walking but very close to tram and boat stop. Above pub but quiet with the windows closed. Just like the photos.
