You know what struck me first about this place? The name actually makes sense – “Lurbe Bleue” really does capture that peaceful, almost dreamy vibe you get when you step inside. I mean, you’re literally on Rue de Lurbe, which honestly most tourists walk right past without realizing they’re missing this little gem tucked away in Bordeaux’s city center.

The apartment itself feels like someone’s stylish French aunt decided to rent out her spare place – and I mean that in the best possible way. It’s got that authentic Bordeaux character without trying too hard, you know? The space comfortably handles four people without everyone bumping into each other (trust me, I’ve stayed in plenty of places where “sleeps 4” is more like wishful thinking). What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – even though you’re right in the center, Rue de Lurbe doesn’t get the party crowd that some of the main streets do. You’ll hear the occasional late-night conversation drifting up from the street, but it’s more charming than disruptive.

Here’s what nobody tells you about staying in this part of Bordeaux: you’re actually within walking distance of both the fancy shopping areas and the real neighborhood spots where locals grab their morning coffee. I’d slip out early to the little boulangerie just around the corner – the kind of place where the baker remembers your order after two days. The Garonne isn’t far either, maybe a ten-minute stroll, which means you can easily walk to all those riverside wine bars everyone raves about. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving (honestly, most central Bordeaux is), but the tram connections are solid from this area. The 8.5 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve spent a night here – it’s not trying to be a luxury hotel, but it delivers exactly what it promises. The check-in was smooth, everything worked properly, and the whole place just felt… well, actually peaceful and charming, just like the name suggests. Sometimes places live up to their billing, and this is one of those times.

  Great location, walking distance to all inner city points of interest & cafes/restaurants. Ground floor was nice and easy, beds were comfortable and had a good shower.

  Appartement parfait : propre, bien placé, et idéal pour un séjour agréable. Le propriétaire est très sympathique, arrangeant et toujours à l’écoute, répondant rapidement aux attentes. L’appartement est équipé de tout le nécessaire pour un confort optimal, dans un quartier calme mais proche des commodités. Parfait pour les courts ou longs séjours, que ce soit pour le travail ou les vacances. Je recommande vivement cet appartement à tous les voyageurs à la recherche d’un lieu accueillant et bien entretenu — vous ne serez pas déçus !
  
  What could be improved: Franchement, difficile de trouver quelque chose à redire ! Si je devais vraiment chercher un détail, je dirais que l’on se sent tellement bien dans l’appartement qu’on n’a plus envie de partir. Un endroit où l’on se sent comme chez soi, je recommande sans hésitation !

  L'appartement est très bien situé, propre, très bien équipé pour notre we en famille. Il y avait même un fond de cuisine, très appréciable même si nous ne nous en sommes pas servis. L'hôte est très agréable et réactive. L'appartement est bien chauffé, ce qui était génial car le WE a été pluvieux et glacial. Nous recommandons tout à fait cet appartement.
  
  What could be improved: S'il faut trouver un point négatif c'est peut être les parties communes qui ne sont pas engageantes mais bon, l'hôte n'y peux rien… et l'absence de détecteur de fumée.
