Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about this little studio on Rue de la Course? The terrace. I mean, you see “terrace” in the listing and think maybe a tiny balcony where you can barely fit a chair, but this one’s actually usable – big enough for morning coffee and that bottle of Bordeaux you inevitably pick up from one of the wine shops down the street.
The Chartrons neighborhood is honestly one of those spots that feels like you’re getting the real Bordeaux experience without the tourist crowds. I spent most mornings walking down to the Saturday market at Marché des Chartrons (it’s literally a five-minute stroll), and the whole area has this lived-in vibe that’s refreshing. The studio itself is pretty straightforward – clean, functional, nothing fancy but everything works. The kitchen’s small but you can actually cook in it, which is more than I can say for some places I’ve stayed. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re right in the middle of everything. The building’s solid, and Rue de la Course isn’t one of those streets where delivery trucks start rumbling at 6 AM.
Here’s the thing about staying in Chartrons – you’re close enough to walk to the city center (took me about 20 minutes to reach Place de la Bourse), but you’re also in this pocket where locals actually live and work. There’s a bakery two blocks over that does incredible pain aux raisins, and honestly, half the charm was just wandering around discovering these little spots. The tram stop is right there too, so getting around is simple. I will say the 7.2 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow you away with luxury touches, but it delivers on what it promises. The check-in was smooth, the host was responsive when I had questions, and the space felt clean and well-maintained. If you’re someone who needs a concierge and room service, this isn’t your spot. But if you want a comfortable base in a genuinely interesting neighborhood where you can live like a temporary local for a few days – complete with that terrace for evening wine – it’s actually a pretty solid choice.
Visitors often choose Bordeaux’s apartments over traditional hotels because they provide more space, kitchen facilities, and the opportunity to live like a local in this magnificent wine capital.

Reviews
Very good – Agnes from France – 19 July 2024 (8/10)
Douche confortable. Equipement logement neuf.
Very good – Francisco from Ireland – 6 June 2025 (8/10)
acogedor pero completo, buena ubicacion!

What could be improved: Lit très confortable et grand mais, prend beaucoup de place, accès très étroit.Completo y acogedor. – Carmona from Spain – 24 June 2024 (8/10)
Good – Eleni from Greece – 26 June 2024 (7/10)

Bon emplacement, studio correct.
Super confortable et agréable – Sophie from Belgium – 3 August 2024 (9/10)

What could be improved: Pas de rideaux donc réveillé tôtPassable – Marie from France – 19 May 2025 (5/10)
la situation géographique, la propreté
What could be improved: Une odeur nauséabonde dans la salle de bain.
