You know what? When I first saw “Lovely cosy flat” on Rue Saint-Rémi, I honestly wasn’t expecting much – the name’s a bit generic, right? But this place actually surprised me in the best way. It’s tucked into this quiet residential street that most tourists walk right past, which means you get that authentic Bordeaux neighborhood feel without the constant buzz of vacation rental turnover. The building itself has that classic French apartment charm – you know, the kind with the heavy wooden doors and those old brass mailboxes that make you feel like you’re living in a French film for a few days.

The flat itself lives up to that 4-star rating, though I’d say it’s more “comfortable and thoughtful” than luxury. What I really appreciated was how well whoever set this place up actually understands what travelers need. The kitchen – and I mean this – is properly equipped, not just some sad hotplate situation. There’s real coffee (thank god), the shower has decent water pressure, and the bed is genuinely comfortable, not one of those rock-hard European mattresses that leave you questioning your life choices. The 8.2 rating makes sense when you consider it’s not trying to be something it’s not. It’s just… well done, you know?

Here’s the thing that sold me on the location – you’re literally a five-minute walk from Place Camille Jullian, where there’s this morning market that locals actually shop at, not just tourists taking Instagram photos. And honestly, being on Saint-Rémi means you can walk to the cathedral area without dealing with the chaos of the main pedestrian streets, but you’re still close enough that nothing feels like a trek. I mean, you can hear the city but it’s not keeping you awake at night, which is honestly the sweet spot for city accommodations. The street gets a bit busy during the day with people cutting through to avoid the main routes, but after 8 PM it’s pretty peaceful. Only minor thing – parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving, but that’s true for most of central Bordeaux. The whole experience just felt like staying at a friend’s place who happens to have really good taste and actually thinks about their guests’ comfort.

  Clara was fantastic to deal with, quick replies and some great recommendations for food in the area. The place was brilliant, just like the photos, it was larger than I was expecting and had everything you could need for your stay. It is the perfect location right in the middle of town, easy walking distance to everything you needed and a tram stop close by (which has a tram directly to and from the airport). Only wish I'd had longer to stay in Bordeaux.

  Emplacement central très pratique, appartement cosy avec une grande verrière qui donne beaucoup de luminosité, communication facile avec la gérante.

  Appartement au calme tout en étant au cœur du centre-ville. Localisation idéale pour restaurants, bars shopping et découverte de la ville. Dans un grenier, sans ascenseur mais charmant et équipé avec climatisation. Canapé-lit efficace et chambre double-lit. A réserver pour sa localisation centrale.

  La ubicación es excelente. La decoración del apartamento es bonita. La anfitriona respondió rápido cuando la necesitamos y fue muy amable. El apartamento está bien para una pareja joven de estatura media.
  
  What could be improved: Apartamento incómodo para cuatro personas. Una vez abierto el sofá cama, no hay sitio para dejar las cosas y resulta un tanto claustrofóbico. El dormitorio está separado del salón por un panel batiente y el baño está dentro del dormitorio. Poca intimidad. La bañera está a unos 60 cm de altura, es peligroso salir y entrar. Apartamento incómodo para personas altas y/o con poca agilidad. Tercero sin ascensor, escalera muy estrecha. Cuando llegamos al apartamento, estaba sin limpiar. Nos lo entregaron a las 19h.
