You’ve got the Jardin Public literally across the street, which is perfect if you need to shake off a wine hangover from the night before, and you’re walking distance to Place Gambetta without dealing with all the Old Town crowds.

The mezzanine thing works better than I expected, actually. You get this sense of space that’s hard to find in Bordeaux at this price point – and trust me, I’ve looked. The apartment feels lived-in rather than sterile, which can be hit-or-miss depending on what you’re after. Some mornings I’d wake up to the sound of the tram rolling down the cours, but it’s not jarring… more like this gentle reminder that you’re in a real neighborhood. The building itself has that classic Bordeaux limestone thing going on – you know, those cream-colored facades that look golden when the afternoon light hits just right. Check-in was straightforward enough, though I’d recommend confirming arrival times because it’s not your standard hotel front desk situation.

What really sealed it for me was how walkable everything felt from there. Sure, you’re not right in the heart of Saint-Pierre or anything, but honestly? That worked in my favor. You can hit up the Saturday market at Marché des Capucins without the tourist markup, grab dinner in the Chartrons district (which locals will tell you is where the real food scene is happening), and still make it back without needing an Uber. The 7.2 rating feels about right – it’s not going to be anyone’s dream destination, but it delivers on what it promises. I’d probably stay again, especially if I was planning to spend more time exploring beyond the obvious tourist spots. The value proposition just makes sense, and there’s something refreshing about a place that doesn’t try to oversell itself with fancy amenities you’ll never use.

  de locatie was enorm goed, dichtbij de oude stad. Alles wat we nodig hadden was aanwezig.
  Fijn dat de bedden opgemaakt waren en dat er voldoende handdoeken aanwezig waren.
