LE FEEL GOOD – En plein cœur de Bordeaux Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to LE FEEL GOOD – En plein cœur de Bordeaux, you immediately get why they chose that name. There’s something refreshingly unpretentious about this three-star hotel that sets it apart from the stuffier places in the city center. The entrance on rue St Rémy feels welcoming rather than intimidating — you know, the kind of place where the staff actually remembers your name by day two. I mean, it’s not trying to be something it’s not, and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it work so well for couples looking for a genuine Bordeaux experience.
Location & Neighborhood
You really can’t beat this spot for exploring Bordeaux on foot. Rue St Rémy puts you right in the thick of things — I’m talking a five-minute walk to Place de la Bourse and maybe ten minutes to the cathedral if you’re taking your time. What I love about this particular street is that it feels authentically local rather than touristy. You’ll find actual Bordelais grabbing their morning coffee at the café around the corner, and there’s a fantastic wine bar just two blocks down that most guidebooks haven’t discovered yet. The tram stop is practically at your doorstep, but honestly, you probably won’t need it much since everything worth seeing is walkable from here.
The Rooms
The rooms at LE FEEL GOOD live up to that “feel good” promise, though they’re not huge — this is city center Bordeaux, after all. What they lack in size, they make up for in thoughtful touches and genuine comfort. The beds are actually comfortable (you’d be surprised how many places get this wrong), and the bathrooms are modern without being sterile. I particularly appreciated the little balconies in some rooms — perfect for that morning coffee while watching the neighborhood wake up. The soundproofing is decent too, which matters when you’re this close to the action.
Atmosphere & Service
There’s a relaxed, almost boutique-like vibe here that couples seem to really connect with — and the ratings back that up. The staff strikes that perfect balance between helpful and not hovering, and they genuinely know their city well. When I asked about wine tastings, the front desk didn’t just hand me a brochure; they actually called ahead to a smaller cave they recommended and made sure I knew which tram to take. It’s these little gestures that transform a decent stay into something memorable. The common areas feel cozy rather than corporate, with local artwork that actually means something rather than generic hotel prints.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps people coming back to this place — and why couples rate it so highly — is the combination of location and personality. You’re genuinely in the heart of Bordeaux, not some business district pretending to be central. The hotel feels like it belongs in its neighborhood rather than being dropped there by a chain. Plus, the value is solid for what you get — you’re paying for the experience and location, not inflated amenities you won’t use. It’s the kind of place where you’ll spend your days exploring the city and your evenings planning the next day’s adventures, which is exactly how a Bordeaux getaway should feel.

We loved the location and the size and feel of the living area. The view over the street is iconic – all that warm limestone.
The shower was excellent.
Transport is fabulous and very close, as are many restaurants and bars.
Aircon is available in both the living and bedroom which would matter in cold or hot seasons.Shadey from France (8/10)
