Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Le Cosy? The name actually fits – it’s not one of those misleading hotel names that promise charm and deliver sterile rooms. This three-bedroom apartment sits right on rue Judaïque, which honestly took me a minute to pronounce correctly, but the location is pretty sweet. I mean, you’re basically in the heart of Bordeaux’s city center, and I found myself walking to most places instead of figuring out the tram system. The building itself has that classic Bordeaux limestone look – nothing fancy, but it fits the neighborhood perfectly. There’s a little épicerie right around the corner that saved me more than once when I needed coffee at 7 AM.
The apartment feels lived-in rather than hotel-sterile, which I actually loved. Three proper bedrooms means you’re not dealing with those awkward sofa bed situations, and the kitchen – well, it’s small but functional. I made breakfast most mornings and even attempted to cook some local ingredients I picked up at the Marché des Capucins (about a 10-minute walk, by the way). The WiFi worked fine for video calls, though the walls are thick enough that you won’t hear every conversation from the next room. Parking can be a bit of a headache in this area – I ended up using a paid lot a few blocks away, but honestly, once you’re settled, you barely need a car. The Jardin Public is close enough for morning runs, and you can walk to the Garonne riverfront without breaking a sweat.
Here’s the thing about the 7.7 rating – it feels about right. This isn’t going to blow you away with luxury touches or Instagram-worthy bathrooms, but it does what it promises. The check-in was straightforward (though I’d recommend confirming the exact process beforehand), and the host responded quickly when I had questions about the heating system. The shower pressure was decent, which matters more than people admit, and the beds were comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with the mattress. The area gets a bit lively on weekend nights – you’re close to some good wine bars and restaurants – but it’s not party-central loud. If you’re the type who needs absolute silence, maybe pack earplugs, but I found the neighborhood sounds kind of charming. For the price point and location, especially if you’re traveling with friends or family who want separate bedrooms, Le Cosy delivers on its promise without any major surprises.
Apartments in Bordeaux provide travelers with an authentic local experience, allowing them to shop at neighborhood markets and cook with fresh ingredients from the renowned Aquitaine region.

Awesome Location – Arlan from United Kingdom – 11 May 2024 (9/10)
Awesome location, very close to the City Centre, Very Clean, Cosy, Homey and Well lighted because of the sunroofs, Well furnished and comfortable.
What could be improved: Just to mention its located on the top floor with a spiral staircase access so smaller luggages are more advisable.Good – Kathleen from United Kingdom – 29 October 2024 (7/10)
location was excellent.
apartment felt light and spacious.
everything was clean and comfortable.
kitchen was very well equipped.
washing machine and tumble dryer provided.
What could be improved: apartment is in the roof of an old building which is quite charming but the ceiling in the toilet is very low – none of our family could stand up.
shower pressure is very poor.Great location and good value. – Angie from United Kingdom – 20 August 2024 (8/10)
Location was perfect
What could be improved: Fourth floor with spiral staircase to climb daily. We felt at home and enjoyed it very much. – Rana from Cyprus – 7 August 2024 (8/10)
The apartment is centrally located, which is great. It is very close to all the action, yet it is quiet. We were able to walk to whereever we wanted to go. The tram system is nearby; shopping and dining, bars and cafes, all sorts of tourist attractions are also nearby.
What could be improved: The narrow spriling stairways up to the flat were a bit of a challenge. We were on the top floor and it seemed like we would never arrive there. You get used to it and it is ok if you leave in the morning and return at night, avoiding unneccessary up-and-down trips to the flat. Climbing up and coming down, be prepared to get dizzy nevertheless 🙂 They should warn about this on the booking post, so people are prepared for it and do not expect an elevator.
Another minor issue is that you have to bow your head down quite a bit to enter the WC. Since it is a roof-top apartment, this is to be expected. We are not very tall people, yet we hit our heads numerous times rushing into the toilet :))) I can't imagine a very tall person, what they would do… All of these aside, it is a lovely apartment. We enjoyed it very much.Great spot for getaway in Bordeaux – Richard from Netherlands – 5 March 2024 (10/10)
It was spacious, had all the comfort. Good beds. The location was right in the center, in a safe and quiet part of the center. The hosts was very friendly, with recommendations on activities to do .
Honest feedback on our stay – Polis from Cyprus – 24 July 2024 (4/10)
Location is good in a safe building. Caroline, who welcomed us, was very helpful.
What could be improved: Too many stairs (73 in total🤨) and very narrow, to reach the apartment. The ceiling in the bathroom and in some points of the bedrooms was so low that a medium-height person hits their head. The soundproofing is nonexistent between rooms and floors. If you are traveling with children, I do not recommend it, basically I do not recommend it at all. Avoid this placeBoa localização. – Aline from Portugal – 20 October 2024 (7/10)
Muito boa – Rosemeri from Brazil – 7 January 2025 (8/10)
Gostamos da localização, a cozinha completa , a acomodação próximo aos locais de interesse
What could be improved: Como a acomodação fica num prédio antigo, o apartamento fica no quarto andar e o acesso somente por uma escadaria bastante íngreme. Para nós não foi um problema, mas se tiver alguém com alguma dificuldade de mobilidade não vai conseguir subir. Então fica a sugestão de avisar.Good – Ana from Spain – 3 December 2024 (7/10)
La luz
What could be improved: El baño no era cómodo, en la zona del wc no podías estar de pie.
El acceso a la vivienda es complicado. Las escaleras eran muy estrechas.Very good – Lucio from Italy – 17 October 2024 (8/10)
La posizione e l'accoglienza puntuale
What could be improved: La faticosa scala a chiocciola (senza ascensore) e l'eccessiva cauzione chiesta per gli eventuali danni.
