The windows open onto the street, and while it’s not exactly quiet (you’re in the center of a vibrant city, after all), the energy outside actually adds to the experience rather than detracting from it.

Getting Around and Exploring

What I really appreciated was how easy it made exploring Bordeaux. You can walk to the Garonne riverfront in about ten minutes, and all those wine bars and bistros that make Bordeaux famous are practically on your doorstep. The parking situation isn’t terrible if you’re driving, though honestly, once you’re settled here, you probably won’t need your car much. The tram system connects you to everything else, and there’s something satisfying about being able to walk back to your hotel after a long evening of wine tasting without having to navigate public transport or expensive taxi rides.

This place works because it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. It’s a solid, well-located base for exploring Bordeaux, and the staff seems to understand that most people staying here want to spend their time out in the city rather than hanging around the hotel.   The location to all you need to see is perfect. There is a G route bus stop around the corner that takes you to and from Gare St Jean, a large supermarket is a 10 minute stroll away, and a mini market only 5 minutes away. There are lots of places to eat and drink that are easily accessible. We stayed for 5 nights and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

  The apartment was in a great location (very central and lots of shops, bars and restaurants nearby), was well equipped (great WiFi) and designed to a high standard. The check in process was seamless and our host stayed back until we arrived following a delay to our inbound flight. The hosts communication was responsive and informative. We would 100% stay at this property again and will be passing the details onto our friends and family.
