You know what caught me off guard about this place? I was expecting just another generic apartment rental, but GuestReady actually nailed the whole “local living” vibe in Chartrons. The building sits right on Cours du Médoc – which, honestly, is one of those streets that feels properly Bordeaux without being touristy. You’re basically in the heart of what used to be the wine merchant quarter, and you can still feel that history when you’re walking around in the morning with your coffee.

The apartment itself is clean and functional – I mean, it’s a solid 3-star setup, nothing fancy but everything works. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays despite being on a main street. The windows are decent quality, so you’re not dealing with traffic noise all night. Check-in was smooth through their system, though I’d recommend downloading their app beforehand because the WiFi password situation was a bit of a hunt. The kitchen is actually usable (unlike some places where they give you one sad burner), and there’s enough space to spread out if you’re staying more than a couple nights. Parking can be tricky – there’s street parking but it fills up, especially on weekends when people come to browse the antique shops along Cours de Verdun.

Here’s the thing that makes this spot work: location without the premium price tag. You’re a ten-minute walk to the tram that’ll get you to Place des Quinconces or Saint-Pierre in no time, but you’re also in this really livable neighborhood where locals actually hang out. There’s a fantastic little bakery just down at Notre-Dame – their pain au chocolat is honestly better than what I had in some of the fancier areas. The Sunday antique market on Cours de Verdun is right there, and if you’re into wine (I mean, you’re in Bordeaux), you’ve got some serious wine bars within walking distance. Le Flacon and Bar à Vin du CIVB aren’t far, and they’re not tourist traps. The 8.5 rating makes sense to me – it’s not luxury, but it delivers exactly what it promises, and the Chartrons location is actually perfect if you want to experience Bordeaux like someone who lives there rather than just checking off monuments.

Early hotels booking in Bordeaux is essential during major events like the Wine Festival, as accommodations fill up quickly with visitors eager to experience the city’s renowned vineyards and gastronomy.

  Lage im Chartron Viertel war gut, Zimmeraufteilung war relativ groß und gut. Straßenbahn ist direkt um die Ecke, mehrere Restaurants in direkter Umgebung, gute Bäcker leider etwas weiter weg (über 10 min)

  Lage der Wohnung (Appartement Nr. 107), 200 m von Tramhaltestelle Cours du Medoc. Schlüsselübergabe sowohl beim Check-in wie auch Check-out war einfach über Schlüsselbox an der Wohnungstür. Code wird 2-3 Tage vor Check-in-Zeit via Email und Booking.com mitgeteilt. Bettwäsche war sauber und 2 große Duschtücher für 5 Übernachtungen. Fön und WLan funktionierten einwandfrei.

  Tour ete parfait . Appartment tres propre bien emplace proche de la station de tramway, tranquil et tres coquet . La femme de menage tres gentile elle me as laisse de depose ma valize avant la heure de check inn. Je recomand fortment cette longment.
