Burdigala Homes – Appart Duffour Dubergier Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Burdigala Homes – Appart Duffour Dubergier on this quiet street in Bordeaux, you immediately get that feeling you’ve stumbled onto something special. It’s one of those places where the building itself tells a story — classic French architecture that fits seamlessly into the historic city center. The entrance has this understated elegance that whispers rather than shouts, which honestly made me appreciate it even more.
Location & Neighborhood
The location is actually ridiculous — and I mean that in the best possible way. You’re literally in the heart of everything, with the Grand Théâtre just a few minutes’ walk away and the Garonne riverfront practically at your doorstep. I kept finding myself wandering out for coffee or wine and realizing I could walk to pretty much anywhere I wanted to go. The couples who stay here clearly get it, with ratings reflecting the exceptional location.
Place de la Bourse with those famous water mirrors is a five-minute stroll away. The wine bars along Rue du Pas-Saint-Georges are even closer, making this neighborhood ideal for exploring on foot.
The Apartment Experience
This four-star property gives you that perfect blend of hotel service with the freedom of having your own space. The apartment I stayed in felt like borrowing a well-appointed Bordeaux pied-à-terre from a stylish friend. There’s a proper kitchen — not just some tiny kitchenette — which means you can actually cook with those gorgeous ingredients from the local markets.
The room layouts are thoughtfully designed, with high ceilings and windows that let in all that beautiful French light. Everything feels authentic to the building’s character while still being completely modern where it counts.
Daily Life Here
What I loved most was how quickly it felt like living in Bordeaux rather than just visiting. You’ll find yourself developing little routines — grabbing fresh bread from the boulangerie around the corner, picking up wine from one of the nearby caves. The staff knows the neighborhood inside and out, so they’ll point you toward the places locals actually go rather than the obvious tourist spots.
There’s something really satisfying about having your own space to retreat to after a day of exploring, especially when that space happens to be in one of France’s most beautiful cities.
Why Guests Love It
The combination of location, space, and that distinctly Bordeaux character creates something pretty special here. You get the independence of an apartment rental with the reliability and service of a proper hotel. The building itself is part of the experience — you’re staying in a piece of the city’s history while having all the modern comforts you actually need.
For couples especially, there’s something romantic about having your own little corner of Bordeaux to call home, even if it’s just for a few days. It’s the kind of place that makes you start planning your next trip back before you’ve even checked out.

Reviews of Burdigala Homes – Appart Duffour Dubergier
John from United States (9/10)
This property had the largest living room with a 12 foot ceiling of any of my stays during a two week trip to Spain and France. It was very centrally located in old town Bordeaux and was a short walk to many of the sights we had on our list to see while in Bordeaux. The host was very accommodating and helpful with a great suggestion on getting to the airport cheaply.
Margaret from France (9/10)
We very much appreciated the lovely large lounge/dining area with period features. The apartment was well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. We particularly appreciated the host, Jean Christophe, who was very friendly and exceptionally helpful to us.

Yes I agree, the living room.is superb. I found the bedroom pleasing and the bed comfortable. Slept well. The very small bathroom attractive and the miniscule kitchen usable if creatively managed. The balcony and French windows do much to enhance this accomodation and the location is excellent. The tram stop from the airport is 2 minutes away and sightseeing all around…or futher afield if you have the energy. Bordeaux is gorgeous.
Joy from Australia (9/10)
Spacious, well appointed, comfortable, everything needed for a great stay and in a great location close to cafes, restaurants and tram stops. The apartment was extremely quiet for being so central. The Nespresso machine and the washing machine were very appreciated for a week long stay.

Very spacious lounge with a balcony overlooking the street. Great location for exploring the centre of Bordeaux with all its cafes and restaurants. Good recommendation from Jean-Christophe for a restaurant: Deux Pieces Cuisine – very good. We had a great time and would recommend.
Kim from France (9/10)
Super elegant main space with balcony view of the surrounding area.
Fab location, easy walk to restaurants and shops etc.
Lots of space and in spite of the booking app says it has a shared toilet it is a completely private and self contained flat.
The host Jean Christophe was charming and efficient.
Parking was nearby.
We will definitely stay there again.Victoria from United Kingdom (9/10)
