Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Bohème eyes? The name alone tells you everything – this isn’t your standard chain hotel experience. Tucked away on Rue Camille Sauvageau, it’s one of those places that actually lives up to its bohemian promise without trying too hard. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from the Garonne riverfront, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better for exploring Bordeaux’s right bank without dealing with the tourist crowds that swarm around Place de la Bourse.
The whole vibe here is refreshingly unpretentious – think artsy touches that feel genuine rather than Instagram-manufactured. What really won me over was how the staff actually seemed to know the neighborhood. When I asked about dinner spots, they didn’t just rattle off the usual suspects but pointed me toward this incredible little bistro on Rue des Trois Conils that I never would’ve found otherwise. The rooms themselves are thoughtfully done (and surprisingly quiet for being so central) – nothing fancy, but you can tell someone put real thought into the details. The 9.1 rating makes total sense once you’re there; it’s that rare place where everything just… works. Small things matter here: the coffee is actually good, check-in was painless, and they have that perfect balance of being helpful without hovering.
What sealed it for me was discovering that you’re perfectly positioned to explore both the historic center and the emerging Bastide district across the river. Parking can be a bit tricky in this area – fair warning – but there’s a public lot about two blocks away, and honestly, once you’re settled in, you’ll probably want to walk everywhere anyway. The tram stop at Stalingrad is close enough that you can easily hop over to the wine museum or catch a quick ride to the main train station. It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re staying somewhere locals might actually recommend, not just another place that showed up first in your booking app search.

Beautifully decorated property – Frank from South Africa – 18 June 2025 (9/10)
Beautifully decorated property and a great location if you want to be in the old town.
What could be improved: The shower door is very small so if you have a BMI less 25 you are okay. If not you have a problem.Perfect – Steven from United Kingdom – 13 May 2025 (10/10)
Beautiful design, great location, easy access, communicative host, well equipped. Far better than city average I would say!
What could be improved: Nothing.Exceptional – Elaine from United Kingdom – 16 October 2024 (10/10)
The apartment was exceptionally clean and modern. It was in a central location near cafes, restaurants and main attractions.
What could be improved: Occasionally, there was some music at night due to a local bar, but the owner is aware and taking steps to remedy this.Host had all necessary location information available for us, from emergency numbers to bars and restaurants. Perfect location, beautiful interior design and very comfortable.
What could be improved: NothingGood Location and Comfortable Bed. – Helen from Australia – 29 May 2025 (7/10)
Very clean, bed extremely comfortable and on ground floor, so didn’t have to carry bags upstairs. Situated in a good location for access to sights, train stations as well as a good choice of bars and restaurants.
Celine was a very good communicator and very prompt to answer any questions we had.
What could be improved: The apartment was tastefully decorated with many d’objets d’art but we found there was not a lot of space for two suitcases…. A little cluttered.
Unfortunately, on our last day we were woken to tradesmen right outside the door setting up scaffolding in order to begin some restoration work on the floors above. Celine did let us know after it had all started and these were circumstances outside her control, but the hammering and banging went on until almost 6pm.
Not sure how long this work will take, but at the time of writing this review it looked like it may take some days.Appartement top juste bémol le bruit le soir – Dimitri from France – 20 July 2025 (8/10)

What could be improved: Le bruit car près des barsParfait, reposant ! – Frederic from France – 9 July 2025 (10/10)
– Frauke from Austria – 9 July 2025 (8/10)
Endroit idéal pour visiter Bordeaux – Johnny from Canada – 3 July 2025 (9/10)
