The beds are surprisingly comfortable, and I slept well despite being worried about train noise. Honestly, the soundproofing is better than I expected, though you’ll still hear the occasional rumble if you’re a really light sleeper.

What really sells this place for me is how it handles the practical stuff without making a big deal about it. Check-in was smooth, the Wi-Fi actually works properly throughout the building, and – this matters more than people think – the shower pressure is solid. The breakfast isn’t going to win any awards, but it’s fresh and gets the job done, especially if you’re catching an early train. I also appreciated that they seem to understand their clientele; there’s a luggage storage area that doesn’t feel like an afterthought, and the front desk staff knew the train schedules better than some railway employees I’ve met.
