Hotel Description
Look, I’ve stayed in my fair share of tiny Parisian studio apartments that cost a fortune, so when I found this little T1 on rue de Lalande, I honestly wasn’t expecting much. But you know what? This place actually gets it right. The location is — and I can’t stress this enough — absolutely perfect if you want to be in the thick of Bordeaux without dealing with tourist trap pricing. You’re literally a three-minute walk from Place Gambetta, which means you can stumble home after exploring the wine bars around rue Pas-Saint-Georges without needing to figure out the tram system at midnight.
The apartment itself is small (it’s a T1, so obviously), but whoever set this up actually thought about how people live. The balcon isn’t huge, but it faces the right direction to catch morning sun with your coffee, and honestly, in Bordeaux that’s half the battle won. I mean, there’s nothing worse than a dark apartment when you’re trying to plan your day around the weather. The kitchen has everything you need if you hit up the Marché des Capucins — which, by the way, is about a ten-minute walk and absolutely worth it for the cheese selection alone. The bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with a medieval torture device, and the shower actually had decent pressure. Small victories, but they matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two.
What really sold me on this place was how quiet it gets at night, despite being so central. Rue de Lalande isn’t one of those streets where delivery trucks start rumbling at 5 AM, but you’re still close enough to everything that you don’t feel isolated. The host was pretty responsive too — I had a minor issue with the wifi (worked fine, just needed the password), and they sorted it out quickly without making me feel like an idiot. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving, but there’s usually street parking within a block or two, and honestly, you probably won’t need your car much once you’re settled in. The whole Chartrons district is walkable, and if you want to venture out to the wine country, the tram connections are solid. For what you’re paying — especially compared to hotels with similar ratings in the city center — this little apartment delivers exactly what it promises, plus that balcony for evening wine that you definitely didn’t plan to buy but somehow ended up with anyway.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Bordeaux at least two months ahead of their visit to ensure availability and secure better rates, especially during the peak summer season when the city hosts numerous cultural festivals.

The location of the apartment is absolutely perfect – walk out the door and you're pretty much in the heart of Bordeaux. There are loads of bars, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, etc. within easy walking distance. The apartment itself is small but spotless and fully equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay – the bathrobe was a really nice touch that I appreciated very much 🙂 It faces onto the courtyard so there's really no noise from the streets and I couldn't hear anything from the neighbouring apartments either. The roll-down blinds make it really easy to get a good night's sleep in the comfortable bed 🙂 Carolle was right on time to hand over the keys and was very friendly. If I needed to communicate with her during my stay, she was very responsive on WhatsApp. I have no hesitation about recommending this apartment to other visitors to this beautiful city!

The only thing I enjoyed was the city itself. I cannot stress enough how unpleasant this apartment is. Look for other bookings.

This appartment was perfect in every way. It is small, but has a very comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen (there are also cookwares and utensils). The neighbours are quiet (I haven't met anybody in 7 days). It's quiet, even though it is in the middle of the city. It is a few minutes from Carrefour / Auchan and also from the main street of the city. The landlady is helpful and kind enough to wait for me to give over the key. If you are looking for a home away from away, you will find it here!

Beautiful location with a small balcony overlooking a calm parking lot. We loved being so close to city center.
