You know what struck me first about this place? It’s actually tucked into one of those classic Bordeaux buildings where you feel like you’re living in the neighborhood, not just visiting it. The apartment sits right on Rue du Jardin Public – and I mean literally steps from the actual public garden, which honestly makes all the difference when you want to grab your morning coffee and sit somewhere green before the day gets crazy.

The Chartrons district is sort of having this moment right now – it’s where locals go for the good stuff without the tourist markup you’ll find closer to Place de la Bourse. Walking out the front door, you’re maybe three minutes from these incredible wine bars that don’t even have English menus (in the best possible way), and there’s this little bakery around the corner on Rue Notre Dame that does these almond croissants that are… well, let’s just say I had to buy extra pants by the end of my stay. The apartment itself lives up to that “cosy” promise – it’s got this lived-in warmth that vacation rentals usually fake but this one actually delivers. The kitchen is properly equipped, I mean actually equipped, not just a hot plate and some mismatched dishes. You can tell someone put thought into the details because there’s stuff like proper wine glasses and a decent coffee setup, which matters when you’re in Bordeaux and the wine is this good.

What really sold me on the location is how it sits between worlds – you’re residential enough that you hear French conversations drifting up from the street instead of tour groups, but the tram line is right there when you want to zip over to the old town or down to the river. Parking was easier than I expected too, though I’d still recommend the tram for getting around the center. The 9.4 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s one of those places where everything just works without drama. Check-in was smooth, the place was spotless, and honestly, the bed was comfortable enough that I slept past my alarms more than once. The only tiny thing I’d mention is that it can get a bit warm in the afternoons if you’re there in summer, but opening the windows brings in this nice cross-breeze, and you’re hearing fountain sounds from the garden instead of traffic noise. It’s the kind of spot where you find yourself planning your next Bordeaux trip before you’ve even finished your current one.

  Apartamento súper completo, cama muy cómodas, muy silencioso, andando en 20 minutos al centro de Burdeos o tres paradas en tranvía. La estación del tranvía está a 200 metros del apartemanero.
  El coche lo dejamos en zona verde y con facilidad de plazas libres. Apartamento con muchos detalles y muy actual, anfitrión pendiente en todo momento.

  Wohnzimmer gleichzeitig Küche mit Zugang zur stillen Terrasse. Groß genug zum Sitzen und auch zu Speisen.
  Sehr gute Lage. Nur ein paar Minuten zur Straßenbahn und auch nur ein kurzer Spaziergang zur Garonne.
