Hotel Description
You know what really got me about this place on Rue Belle Étoile? It’s tucked away in this residential pocket that most tourists never find, but you’re literally a ten-minute walk from Place Gambetta. I mean, the address says 33800, which technically puts you in Bordeaux proper, but it feels more like you’re staying in someone’s actual neighborhood rather than tourist central – and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it work.
The apartment itself has that lived-in charm that French places do so well when they’re not trying too hard. The floors creak a bit (in a good way), and there’s this morning light that comes through the windows that actually makes you want to have coffee there instead of rushing out to find a café. The kitchen’s small but functional – I managed to make a decent breakfast with stuff from the little Monoprix about three blocks over. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. You’re on a residential street, so no late-night bar crowds or delivery trucks rumbling past at 6 AM like you’d get closer to the old town. The Wi-Fi actually works well too, which matters if you’re trying to plan your wine tour routes or figure out tram schedules.
Speaking of trams – and this is something I wish I’d known before booking – you’re about a seven-minute walk to the nearest stop, but once you’re on the system, you can get pretty much anywhere. The host was genuinely helpful with local tips too, not just the generic tourist stuff. They pointed me toward this little wine bar on Rue des Bahutiers that I never would’ve found otherwise, and gave me the real scoop on which markets are worth hitting up (apparently Thursday mornings at Marché des Capucins, not the weekend chaos). The check-in was smooth, no awkward key exchanges or confusing lockbox situations. Look, it’s a solid 3-star spot with an 8.1 rating for good reason – it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches, but everything works like it should. The shower has decent pressure, the bed’s comfortable enough that I actually slept well, and there’s proper storage space for your stuff. If you’re the type who wants to experience Bordeaux more like a temporary resident than a tourist passing through, this is your spot.
Apartments in Bordeaux provide travelers with an authentic local experience, allowing them to shop at neighborhood markets and cook with fresh ingredients from the renowned Aquitaine region.

The property was really functional. Sofa bed was comfortable and rolled out on my arrival. There was a small fridge, microwave, kettle, hob, coffee maker and kitchen utensils – all I needed. Also the room was quite spacious with a small table and chairs. The location of the property was superb right next to the tram station which meant commuting was a breeze really really convient literally 30 seconds from the tram station. Booking was easy and there were no surprises or funny business. If I was to book again I would actually book this place.

Great location close to the main train station. The tram stop was just around the corner and the public transport system is excellent. Supermarket 100m down the road.
The apartment was lovely, clean and had a delightful little courtyard. Some instructions on using the cooking appliances would be most helpful.Fotini from Greece (7/10)

Staff was very helpful with clear and easy instructions to follow for access.Katharine from United Kingdom (7/10)
The apartment was very clean, and the patio would be lovely in summer – we didn't spend too much time there as we were visiting in February but the big window was very nice. The apartment is extremely well-located near the Gare St-Jean and a tram stop, and a short walk from the river. It was very quiet and felt secure.
