I mean, after years of Airbnb adventures gone wrong, this kind of straightforward setup was honestly refreshing.

The location is pretty clever, actually. Nansouty Saint-Genes isn’t where most tourists end up, but that’s exactly why it works. You’re far enough from the old town chaos to actually sleep at night (no drunk groups stumbling down cobblestones at 2 AM), but the tramway connection means you’re still just a quick ride into Bordeaux’s center. The Cours de l’Argonne itself is one of those tree-lined avenues that feels properly Bordeaux – you’ll see locals walking their dogs in the morning and the whole street has this lived-in neighborhood vibe that I actually preferred to staying right in the tourist zone. Plus, there’s decent parking around here, which anyone who’s driven in Bordeaux will tell you is worth its weight in wine.

The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile rental unit. Sure, it’s a 3-star place so don’t expect luxury touches, but everything works and it’s clean – sometimes that’s honestly all you need. The 8.3 rating makes sense when you consider what you’re getting for the price point. The ground floor setup means no hauling luggage up narrow French staircases (trust me, your back will thank you), and being in a residential building means it stays pretty quiet even when Bordeaux gets busy during wine season. I stayed here in September and could actually open the windows at night without street noise keeping me awake. The kitchen setup is basic but functional – perfect if you want to grab fresh stuff from the local markets and cook a simple meal instead of eating out every night. What I really appreciated was how the owner seemed to understand that travelers need practical things like decent wifi, enough towels, and coffee supplies. Nothing fancy, but they’d thought through the details that actually matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than just a night or two. The tram stop is close enough that you don’t need to plan your whole day around transportation, which gave me the freedom to explore Bordeaux at my own pace and then retreat back to this quiet corner when I needed a break from all that beautiful architecture and wine tasting.

  Good family home.
  The apartment is so clean and tidy and close to the centre ( supermarket, food , ….) . Make us feel like home. Spacious rooms, very private . We can cook like home with all the utensil that are necessary . Very good for our family. We all love staying there. The lady is friendly and helpful too.
