I mean, sure, it’s cozy – but when you’re standing on that little balcony looking out over the Garonne, “cozy” feels like calling Bordeaux “a nice wine town.” The location on Quai Richelieu is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in the city rather than just visiting it. You can literally roll out of bed and grab coffee at one of those corner cafés where the locals read their morning paper, then walk five minutes to Place de la Bourse when you’re ready to do the touristy stuff.

The apartments themselves have this lived-in charm that most hotels completely miss. The kitchen actually works – I’m talking proper pots and pans, not those sad hotel kitchenettes with one bent fork. I ended up cooking dinner a couple nights because, well, you’re in France and the local market on Cours Victor Hugo is right there (about a ten-minute walk). The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and here’s something nobody mentions in reviews but matters: the walls are thick enough that you won’t hear every conversation from the hallway. Trust me on this one. The Wi-Fi held up even when I was video calling back home, which… let’s be honest, that’s not always a given in these older buildings. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle – there’s street parking but it fills up fast, especially during wine season when everyone and their cousin is visiting Bordeaux. I’d suggest the underground garage at Place Jean Jaurès, maybe a seven-minute walk away.

What really sold me on this place was how it sits right in that sweet spot between the business district and the old town. You’ve got the tram line practically at your doorstep, so getting to La Cité du Vin or even out to the wine regions is dead simple. But honestly, you might find yourself just wandering the neighborhood – Rue Sainte-Catherine for shopping, the riverside path for evening walks, or ducking into one of those wine bars near Place du Parlement. The 9-star rating makes sense once you’ve stayed there a few days. It’s not trying to be fancy, but everything just… works. The host was responsive without being intrusive, check-in was smooth, and the whole experience felt more like borrowing a friend’s place than staying in a hotel. If you’re the type who’d rather explore a city from a real neighborhood base instead of some generic hotel district, this is your spot.

  The apartment was perfect for 2 people. We were Mother and daughter so I stayed on the sofa bed. My daughter had the bed. The kitchen, living room and bathroom were clean and had all the needed amenities.

  A small apartment in old city Bordeaux, close to all attractions by foot. The apartment had all the amenities, the kitchen was fully stocked, including essentials such olive oil, salt, pepper, sugar, which was very handy for a short stay. The owner is easily accessible and responsive.

  La ubicación Tiene una parada de tranvía justo en la puerta y andando se lleva a lo más importante de la ciudad enseguida. Además el apartamento está muy bien, cocina pequeña pero completa y la calefacción funciona perfectamente. El anfitrión respondió rápidamente a todas las consultas que le hicimos
