Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Appart’City Confort on Rue Docteur Finlay, I wasn’t expecting much from another aparthotel chain. But you know what? This place actually surprised me, and I mean that in the best way. The Chartrons neighborhood is where you want to be if you’re doing Bordeaux right – it’s got that perfect mix of residential charm and actual local life without being touristy. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the antique markets along the quais, and honestly, watching the sunrise over the Garonne from those riverside paths became my morning ritual.
The apartments themselves are… well, they’re exactly what you’d expect from a solid 3-star setup, but with some thoughtful touches. The kitchenettes are actually functional (I made proper coffee every morning, not that instant nonsense), and the beds are surprisingly comfortable – none of that rock-hard European mattress situation you sometimes get. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night, even though you’re right in the city. The double-glazed windows do their job, which matters because Bordeaux can get lively, especially on weekends when people spill out of the wine bars. I mean, the soundproofing isn’t luxury hotel level, but you’ll sleep fine.
Here’s the thing that sold me on this place – the location gives you options. Want to explore the wine scene? You’re walking distance from some incredible natural wine shops and bistros that locals actually frequent (not the tourist traps near Place de la Bourse). Need groceries? There’s a proper market just down the street, plus a Monoprix if you’re feeling lazy. And parking – God, parking in Bordeaux is a nightmare, but they’ve got a garage situation figured out, which honestly saved my sanity. The staff was pretty helpful too, especially with restaurant recommendations. They pointed me toward this tiny place on Rue Notre Dame that I never would’ve found otherwise. The 7.9 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be fancy, but everything works the way it should, the price point is fair, and you’re staying somewhere that feels connected to actual Bordeaux life rather than some sterile hotel bubble. If you’re the kind of traveler who wants a comfortable base to explore from (with your own coffee maker, because priorities), this hits the mark perfectly.

Penelope from Australia (7/10)
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is approximately 6km from the centre of Bordeaux. A tram (it's stop 600m from hotel) will take you directly in to town. Also, a bus outside the door. There is a salad restaurant next door, but not much else by way of restaurants. A supermarket within walking distance. Soundproofing was good. The beds were comfortable. Individual air-conditioning enabled the rooms to not be overheated. The kitchenette is small and basic, but adequate. There is a laundromat on site. The breakfast offered eggs and the usual continental fare. Coffee and croissants could be obtained outside of breakfast hours. There was a lounge area in the lobby, where you could sit.

Although its 18m2 the apartment is really comfortable with a big bathroom. Receptionists were kind and supportive. Hotel is not far from Bordeaux old town and easy to approach with tram. In front of the hotel there is a nice restaurant. No problem with the parking even during the day – the evening on next street to the hotel. It is free of charge.
